  2. Turning Off Hot Linking for New Graphs

  4. If you don‚Äôt want new graphs hot linked to their source data, you can turn off hot linking. Once a hot link is broken, data series in the graph are not updated when you modify the data used to create them.

  7. Choose Application from the Preferences submenu (Options menu).

  10. In the Application Preferences dialog, turn off the Hot Link To Data check box, then click OK.
